Book Club
We would like to invite you to join our Parent-Teacher Book Club for 2026-27
Here at St. Aidan’s, the joy and value of reading is something we actively encourage and celebrate with all of our students. The journey into reading is vital for personal growth, and the benefits of reading are enormous. We hope that, like us, you will share in promoting and celebrating a love of books.
The partnership between parents and teachers remains an important part of education throughout adolescence. This book club aims to strengthen that partnership by providing an opportunity for parents and staff to come together through a shared enjoyment of reading. We hope it will also support conversations about books at home and help parents engage with some of the texts studied in English and as part of our Reading Canon.

Before selecting our first book, we would like to gauge interest from parents and carers. Once we have established the level of interest, we will choose a text for our first reading, potentially drawing from our Reading Canon or another title that members would enjoy exploring together.
The group will meet every few weeks, both online and face-to-face, to discuss the chosen book. These sessions will provide an opportunity to share ideas, discuss themes, and ask questions that deepen our understanding and enjoyment of the text.
To register your interest or to find out more about the book club, please contact Mrs Sansom at ksansom@staca.co.uk.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope to welcome you to our first meeting soon. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for further updates and details.
