Food bank collections
December 18, 2019
As a Catholic community, we focus on living out the Gospel Values. One way in which we do this is through our foodbank which serves our community. This year we have continued this work and our in-house food bank is bursting with donations made by a wide range of stakeholders within the academy. We have recently introduced ‘foodbank Friday’, for this we ask students and staff alike to make a conscious effort each Friday to bring in a small donation for the foodbank.
Throughout the festive period, both staff and student volunteers have been working hard to make hampers for members of our community. The hampers include of chocolates, biscuits, sweets and toiletries. This year, we have been able to make approximately 70 hampers and 200 gifts that will be given to some of the neediest within our community.
It is your kind donations throughout the year that make this possible, so a big thank you to all.
