“Celebrating life to the full”

Year 8 travelled to Borrowdale in the Lake District this week to build on their Year 7 mountain experience.  Each two day visit allowed each student to climb their very own mountain, not once but twice!  They checked into the Borrowdale YHA, climbed Jopplety How and Castle Crag, some students even had the opportunity to explore the caves.

What a wonderful week it was.  Friendships flourished, students became more independent and skills of teamwork and map reading developed.

Thank you to each and every one of you for pushing yourselves out of your comfort zone, being resilient and looking out for each other.  We can not wait for your next challenge in Year 9 – SCAFELL PIKE!
