Coping with Adversity

March 2, 2019

On Wednesday 27th February 2019 we welcomed Brigadier James Richardson to St Aidan’s.  James spoke opening to our Year 9, 10 and 11s about coping with adversity, stress and decision making.   He gave a frank account of his personal experiences and drilled down into the processes of adversity and decision making, with a common theme of ‘What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger’.  His presentation backed up our school ethos of ‘celebrating life to the full’ and gave clarity to our students of how our core values of hard work, trust and fairness can get them to the top of their own mountain.

Students also enjoyed a honest Q&A session, giving them advice for their own futures.

Thank you to James and to Speakers for Schools.
