The best performing Sunderland schools based on new GCSE Progress 8 scores

The Department for Education (DfE) has published Progress 8 scores, used to assess the academic performance of schools and pupils who sat this year’s (2022) GCSE examinations.

We are delighted with the results our boys have achieved; despite the issues caused by the pandemic we are celebrating outstanding results. It’s great to see the hard work of staff and pupils recognised both locally and nationally.

This level of excellence doesn’t happen by accident; our boys and staff have worked extremely hard, living and breathing our core values, dedicating time to their studies and climbing to the top of their mountain – most importantly the grades they have achieved have opened many doors, enabling them to continue their journey either academically or to pursue a fulfilling career.
