Parent / Carer,
St Aidan’s will be open as usual for all students until the end of the day 3.00 p.m. on Friday 20th March. Following government advice, all schools, including St Aidan’s, will be CLOSED on Monday 23rd March until further notice EXCEPT for particular groups of students. These groups will have parents in the NHS, Police, Teachers or Delivery drivers and students with an EHCP or named social worker.
If you belong to one of these groups and intend to send your son into school from 23rd March please could you please complete the short survey below, we will also send you this by text to you shortly.

Over the next day we will roll out our plan to provide educational support for all students to work from home on Monday. We will communicate this information to you and any other updates in due course.
Today we have met with all students to allay their worries and concerns and to ensure they are aware that during this uncertain time they need to push to work hard and continue the journey they are on. I will be holding a parent forum by telephone today between 4.30pm and 5.30pm. If you have any questions call the 0191 5200333 and select Option 5. The message will say that the school is closed but this option will still work.
We will be in contact with you regularly by text and email during this period of school closure.
We appreciate your support in these trying times and extend our best wishes to all in our community.
Thank you
Glenn Sanderson
