Yesterday our Key Stage 3 head boy and house captain Dyjon Micah and Nicolas presented a cheque for £2040 .00 to Sunderland Cancer Patient Support . This fantastic amount was raised from our annual fundraising day in May when we held a non- uniform day followed by a Big Night In for staff. This charity is very close to our hearts and this year we had a balloon release to remember a former student Kyle Alcock and support assistant Sylvia Addison who both had support from the charity. Deborah Spraggon said ‘St Aidan’s Catholic Academy have once again raised a significant amount which will make a difference to cancer patients and their families in Sunderland. Thank you to all students, parents and staff and the local community who supported the event in any way.’
