BBC Tour

Today we welcomed the BBC Bitesize Schools Careers Tour to St Aidans to deliver an interactive 1-hour session to all Year 9 students. The aim was to offer an inspiring insight into the world of creative work, as well as highlighting routes and opportunities within these sectors that the students may not have considered.

The Q&A session was led by host, Nick Bright from Radio 1 extra, accompanied by a panel of 3 guests from the creative industries. Gayle Woodcruffe, head of production services at Northern film and TV, Chris Felton, Metro Radio Presenter and Peter Harding, from BBC Bitesize made up the guest panel. The panelists shared their career journey with the students, giving us an insight into their jobs and how they reached where they are today.
